Artist Statement This is my interpretation of a political candidate who is increasing fear and hatred in to this country during the 2016 American election. Donald Trump is a projection of indefensible capitalism; he frequently uses discriminatory language, gaining masses of supporters and stunting American progress. He is bringing out the worst in this country and I feel he is turning this election into a reality show.
For this project, I placed Mr. Trump’s face on very specific animals in very intentional places. I have titled each piece with his own quotes pulled word-for-word from his interviews and debates. The work has a satirical theme: for instance the placement of Donald Trump on a French bulldog’s scrotum.
